Greater Columbia Obedience Club, Inc.
Saturday, August 30 - AFTERNOON SESSION
Presenter: Julie Rice, MT(ASCP), ANWI
K9 Nose Work is an activity that develops a dog's natural scenting abilities. Fun and games will be used to help a dog understand how to detect odors. This workshop is an introduction to the sport and no experience is necessary. Dogs will work individually, with other dogs crated out of sight.
Julie Rice has been training dogs for 26 years. She has titled 7 dogs (4 different breeds) in obedience, earthdog, tracking, agility and Nose Work. Her students are finding success in competition, as well as seeing their dogs excel in this sport, gain confidence, and gain focus. Julie competes in K9 Nose Work with her 9 year old Parson Russell Terrier, Devon, and a 5 year old Doberman, Zodi.
